Mayor Swails To Be Sworn In This Evening

Mount Pleasant to swear in new mayor

The town of Mount Pleasant will swear in its new mayor. Mayor-elect Billy Swails beat out candidates Joe Bustos and Gary Santos in last week’s election.
Swails says he’s ready to start work in his new position and already has a plan to bring tourism dollars east of the Cooper and help with the town’s finances.

He’ll be sworn-in at tonight’s council meeting at 7 p.m.
